artworks magazine sees dramatic pre-launch traffic boost

Contemporary, national art and lifestyle magazine Artworks has seen a four-fold increase in web traffic in the weeks prior to their scheduled June website launch. Opting for a “soft opening,” Artworks publisher Tom Burns is thrilled.

“Our experience with OMGi has far exceeded our expectations,” he said. “Not only did we see an exponential increase in hits, we’re selling subscriptions online and we haven’t even announced the site in our publication.”

Artworks chose OMGi after frustrations with their ability to control the magazine’s web presence. Today, the site is growing but that growth is driven by the Artworks editorial team, not a web coder. “Artworks is just another example of how a customer controlled CMS can empower a company online,” said Jenny Russell, business Manager at OMG Interactive.
